Black Men United is a 501c(3) grass roots organization, working within our community
and is the voice of the voiceless.
BMU is Community Focused and Solutions Driven. We will streamline and focus our
efforts on Solutions and networking in 3 critical areas of concern for the African American
Community. We will not focus on the problem. . . per se, but how we move forward toward
Solutions.
Our vision is to focus on issues rather than individuals. "We believe there are no Permanent
Enemies
only Permanent Issues". We cannot be everything to everybody and we will act accordingly.
If you are a guest or participant in one of our many events you MUST come with TANGIBLE
solutions. The 3 areas are: Jobs, Criminal Justice Issues,(racial profiling, ex-felon re-entry,
police oversight, recidivism and prevention
)
and Education (closing the achievement gap,
mentoring, the drop-out rate etc.,)
